Colour Creations Showcase - Blackberry Bliss
This is the first week I've been able to fit in some creating for the Colour Creations Showcase, but hopefully it will fit into my schedule a bit more over the next few months. This week is Blackberry Bliss, a very deep shade, which 'stamps off' very successfully 2 and even 3 times.
Drybrush is a new background stamp and the card above has it stamped off once, while the one below is full strength. The Jar of Flowers stamp set is getting a good workout at my place, and after stamping a row of roses in Blackberry Bliss, I used a blender pen to draw the colour down and blend. I even carried this over to the inside of the card.
Still using the Jar of Flowers but this time a different flower arrangement (there's 4 to choose from) and the separate stem stamp stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in gold. The colour didn't flow as freely this time, so the Blackberry Bliss ink for an outline must have been an advantage.

Love your cards Rachel. They are both gorgeous with the dry brushed stamped background. I think if I had to choose a favourite, I think I would choose the first card with the stamped off background and the roses along the bottom. The 2nd one is also lovely with the gold embossed bunch of flowers. xxx
ReplyDeleteWow! I am totally in LOVE with the Drybrush background stamp, and how dramatically different it looks in different colours. How amazing is it, in Blackberry Bliss? I really like how you've stamped the floral images straight over the Drybrush background, Rachel. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are very different Rachel but a beautiful use of the background stamp. If I had to choose it would be the first card where you stamped off the background.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Rachel and I hadn't even noticed the Drybrush stamp in the catalogue, but it is super effective. I especially love your card with the ribbon all ruffled up and the lovely flowers below.

ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards, Rachel, but I do adore the first - so pretty and rustic! I hadn't noticed that background stamp, but I will be taking a closer look at it now.
