This week we are CASEing masculine cards from the Annual catalogue, but that doesn't mean you have to make a masculine card. You might CASE the colours, layout or layering.
I started by CASE-ing the card with blue DSP on page 25 of the Stampin' Up! 2020-21 Annual Catalogue. Note the circle for the sentiment, a little stack of card, DSP and ribbon underneath, and the spray of leaves in place of the globe. I've used the Forever Greenery DSP, but any of the gorgeous papers could be used in the same way. Just get that pretty paper chopped and onto a card!
This paper suits all the greens in our colour palette, and its so much fun mixing and matching them all. Another version of the first card has a matt behind the DSP and just a ribbon tied around. I've used the sentiment and speckles from Forever Fern, the stamp set teamed up with Forever Greenery DSP, and of course Forever Flourishing Dies.
The 2nd card was CASE-d from page 25 also, and shows off three other patterns from the Forever Greenery DSP. The only other similarity would be the ribbon and ribbon slide. The label and a larger sentiment suited my taste a little more, and I couldn't resist another sprig of leaves. I used Many Mates for the remainder of the sentiments, there are such a lovely variety in that stamp set.
My rectangles look like they are different dimensions to the catty sample, the Stitched Rectangles often call to me, and this one fitted rather nicely across my 14.5cm card.
Now we head over to Peta and Marvi, I wonder what they have created this week?
There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.
I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, and when you use the Host Code at check out, I will send you a gift. The items listed below were used in my projects above, and link to that item in my online shop.
Great cards Rachel, I just love that DSP! I really like the one with the three panels on the front.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the card. All of the greens go so well together.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Rachel, they really showcase the Forever Greenery DSP perfectly.
ReplyDeleteGosh you've been busy! Your cards are great, and how wonderful that the DSP matches so well with any of our greens?
