Big birthdays - you know, those ones that end in '0' - require big cards. My youngest son just turned 30 and at this stage still lives at home with us. If it hadn't been for Covid-19, he might have bought a house and moved out but I guess we're just lucky!!!
I was a bit stuck for what to put on his card this year and did a repeat of A Good Man in watercolours. Also had some fun masking and incorporating By the Dock.
I've shared a video on my Facebook business page and on Youtube of how to mask and place the foreshore behind the subject, and some watercolouring. For the feminine version, I pulled Beautiful Moments from the shelf. Doesn't she look lovely staring out to sea?
Are you as happy as I am that we have alphabets and numbers back in our die range? I liked that the '30' fitted so nicely on the banner from the Tasteful Labels dies.
He and his lovely lady are nature lovers and took themselves off to the seaside for this special birthday. The ocean is often moodier in winter, and the windswept beaches are definitely deserted. When they mentioned that they'd been searching for dinosaur footprints at Inverloch and seeking out the migrating whales I wondered what I could have put together using Dino Days or Whale Done!!!
