I retired early this year, never expecting that I would end up isolating at home! I'm fortunate to be at a stage of life where we don't have any worries to speak of, and I've always had plenty of hobbies, so now I can really devote myself to that. I decided to try to use the remainder of a packet of Tropical Chic Designer Series paper. This came in the 6" X 6" format, and I seemed to only have some card front sized pieces and some 2 " strips.
The most sensible idea I thought was to get out the matching stamp set, and I love making wreaths of flowers using the Stamparatus to stamp in the round. These remind me of the sweet flower crowns and lei they make in Hawaii, a place I love to visit.
The papers dictated the colours to an extent, and you can always look at the label, and it is written which colours are featured in the DSP. While we are #stayingsafeathome, I write a card or two every few days and post them on my isolation walks.
A number of these have already been posted, so I will need to replenish the stock soon, I guess. I wonder which paper I will use next?
Just a little post script, the retiring lists are out, and it appears that A Big Thank You and Tropical Chic are both leaving us, so if you'd like to make some cards like this, you'll need to go shopping.
I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, use the Host Code when asked at check out, & I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. It's extra hard at the moment to run an online business so any help you give by ordering is greatly appreciated. The items listed below were used in my project above, and link to that item in my online shop.
