Case The Colours of Ornate Garden SDSP CTC#268

This week we are CASE-ing the colours of Ornate Garden Suite, and I took it literally! Because we are only guessing as to the yellow of Bumblebee, I ignored that one and picked Early Espresso, Terracotte Tile, Old Olive and Mint Macaron to create this set of cards.

Although it's not listed on the back of the paper pack, Roccoco Rose also fits rather well in this selection, so it could be expanded with that and a couple of yellows. Did you know that Stampin' Up! very helpfully list the colours on the packs of DSP so you know which card and ink to select to add to your creation?

The Stamparatus made a mass-production much easier. Once I had the card & stamp positioned, I was able to stamp the floral stamp over and over in the different colours, using the Shammy to wipe the stamp clean between colours.

The same process was followed with the 'hello', and then the 'I miss you a lot' I didn't even have to clean until the end. Once the stamps are positioned, you don't move them until you have finished however many cards you are planning to make. It makes it handy to invest in spare plates as, they are removable and can be kept in place until you are ready to return to a project.

Tailored Tag is a Punch very handy for this stamp set, but I actually hand-trimmed the stamped image next to where the ink ends, so I could punch with Champagne Foil to border the image. The same foil matts the larger stamped image, and Champagne rhinestones add a little sparkle.

A variety of embossing folders were used for this project too. Starting at the left is Stylish Scroll, Ornate Floral (new), Hammered Metal and Layered Leaves. Layered Leaves is discounted on the Last-Chance list.

The stamping on the inside is from Ornate Garden. I thought some of the flowers looked similar and was disappointed to hear that Accented Blooms will retire on June 3rd, unless it sells out sooner. It is still on the Last-Chance list.

To show you how versatile this stamp set is I've stamped and coloured this example using a different sentiment too. A selection of Stampin' Blends were used to colour the image, and the label was stamped off three times to get the very subdued shade of Blackberry Bliss.

Next talented artist on the list is Shannon Kissane

We share our projects to inspire you to create and send cards. It would be wonderful if you CASE-d the Colours of the Ornate Garden Suite and shared your card or other project on our Facebook page.

It's extra hard at the moment to run an online business so any help you give by ordering is greatly appreciated.
