Pretty Pink Floral CI#58

Colour INKspiration is a fortnightly blog initiated by Bronwyn Eastley in Tasmania. The design team is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

Such a gentle colour challenge this time, chosen for us by Kelly Kent. It seemed perfect to keep the card soft and subtle also, so a floral stamp, Floral Essence, as yet unused, was chosen.

The flowers were stamped onto watercolour paper in Versamark, and sprinkled with white embossing powder. Next step was to watercolour the images with Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake ink. Later you rub the excess ink off with a tissue.

The sentiment was also stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, to highlight the gold foil behind the Stitched Circle. The gold foil was die cut with a die from Perfect Parcels dies. I've used the sewing machine to sew it in place, but sadly, I don't think you can see it.

Next lovely team member on this loop is Rose Packer

  1. This is a lovely, subtle creation with just the right touch of glitz. That die cut behind the sentiment is wonderful. Confession: I haven't inked up that set yet. :-)
