Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. We are inspired to CASE Pressed Petals DSP - colours and layouts from pages 72-74.
The colours in this paper include Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Rococo Rose, Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot, Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz. That's a lot of colours, so you don't have to use them all!!! It's so much easier if I explain that I left out Rococo Rose and substituted Whisper White for Very Vanilla.
I nearly forgot my youngest son's birthday (today) so luckily he has gone away to the beach until Monday and I had some time to whip this up. This is the only image in A Good Man stamp set that has no child, and I guess it suits that the chap is lounging, maybe at the beach. I can assure you, there'll have been no lounging at the beach this weekend, it has been bitterly cold around Victoria, and the wind off Bass Strait will cut straight through you. They'll probably have gone for a drive and a quick walk, but most of the time will be spent in front of the wood fire!!!
I mostly used Stampin' Blends for colouring, but Merry Merlot doesn't have a blend, so I've used a marker, very carefully, on the deck chair. I also took the opportunity to use up some recently retired DSP, Floral Romance was such a pretty paper that I just might have been afraid to cut it!
It's time to check out Michelle's trio of cards
We'd love you to join us this week, just CASE those colours (or most of them) and share here, at our Facebook page.
I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, and when you use the Host Code when asked at check out, I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. The items listed below were used in my card above, and link to that item in my online shop.

What a great card! I love your colouring. This image looks fabulous over this wonderful DSP. Happy birthday to your son!
ReplyDeleteI love how you have used most of the colours from a very feminine DSP and come up with a masculine card. Well done, great card! I’m sure your son will love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great use of the colours, Rachel. Your lounging beach man looks very relaxed and happy and warm! The Floral Romance paper looks perfect, I know that feeling of being too afraid to cut into the pretty paper, it's so much easier once it's retired, isn't it? Happy birthday to your son, I'm sure he appreciated your fabulous card.
ReplyDeleteFabulous masculine card with this colour combo, Rachel.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Rachel, your colouring is excellent. I love the little notch in your card where the twine is, very clever.
