Thanks CTC#9

Hello again, and welcome back to CASE-ing The Catty! I've been wanting to CASE this particular card on page 149 of the Australian catalogue, ever since I received my copy, just because it is so pretty.

I decided to use my favourite colour, blue....any shade of blue, but this time it is Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay.

I used the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder instead of  Perfect Polka Dots and my 'Thanks' sentiment is from Hip Notes. I decided I'd use the two sizes of butterflies from Kinda Eclectic, and stamped them onto SU Vellum Cardstock before punching with the matching Stampin' Up!® punches.

My layout is basically the same as the catalogue, with just some minor changes to colours, stamp sets and the addition of a piece of ribbon. If you'd like to join the fun at CASE-ing The Catty, you might choose to copy a design totally, just use the colour inspiration, or begin with the sketch and take it from there. We'd love to see what you CASE.

I was trying to figure out how to add confetti or sequins to the piece on the left, without getting my sewing machine out. I had almost decided not to bother with that part of the card, when my good friend asked me why I couldn't use the Paper Piercing Tool and some hand stitching, and that is what I ended up doing. Yes, it took a little longer than the machine would have, BUT was much quicker than taking everything off the sewing machine, tidying a spot on the table for it, plugging it in, probably threading it up......you get the picture? AND, I'm pretty happy with the evenness of the stitching too.

Any orders to my online shop over this weekend will be in the running to receive this card in the mail, ready for you to use yourself. Sorry, but you can only order from my online shop if you live in Australia.

Cheers,

Rachel
