Tulip Time

I've used Beautiful Bouquet a number of times, it's a lovely stamp set with flowers and some very heartfelt sentiments. I had never used the tulip before, but how gorgeous is it? I adore the simplicity of the flower, and just think of the many different colours you could stamp them in.

I particularly love the hot, bi-colour flowers, so had a bit of a play with ink pads and the rock 'n' roll technique.

When you are die cutting narrow items like these stems, the Sissix adhesive sheets are the perfect answer. Great for letters and numbers too. For the flowers, Dimensionals and mini Dimensionals are the answer.

All items are available for purchase from my online shop and ship direct to your Australian address. Click on any product and it will take you to that item in the Online shop. In April, for orders of $50 or more, I am sending a bonus quarter share of brand new DSP (pattern paper) and if you remember to use the Host code, there'll be a share of the Host gifts too.

Best Fishes

The first card was made with fish from Jar Of Love and although I've used the Stamparatus to stamp in the round, it came out a little more random than I'd expected. That doesn't matter here, because it looks rather like a bowl of fish.

These fish are much more organised, swimming in single file!!! The centre piece is from Stitched All Round, a delightful stamp set in the Annual Catalogue. Everything else is from Jar of Love.

Do you like the soft colouring or the bolder colours?

Graceful Glass CTC#193

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week the design team are focusing on pages 164- 179 of the new Annual catalogue.

Page 167 Bouquet Blooms

I popped over to page 167 and CASEd a Crumb Cake card there, using different stamps and colours, but the basic idea of a circle adorned with flowers. I've used flowers from Beautiful Bouquet and Jar Of Love and really intended to use a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet also, till my eye alighted on A Big Thank You.

I wanted to use a sentiment referencing flowers, and saying more than Happy Birthday or thank you, so this is perfect. Friends are flowers in the garden of life. Two design points of the catalogue sample which I particularly liked were the design panel set to the upper left of the card, and the leaves stamped on the base. I used a favourite stamp from Rooted In Nature for this.

Something else I decided to include was the trim on the right side of the art piece, and I used a lacy strip from the Bouncing Baby Framelits.

There are definite signs of spring in Melbourne over the last few days. The sun has been shining and warming up a little, the birds are twittering in the trees in the mornings and evenings. I even had doors and windows open on a couple of days to air things out.

My friend Julia is next stop along the hop, check out her gorgeous project

It would be great if you felt inspired to join our challenge this week, and you can link your project on our facebook page.

Birthday Delivery

So very cold here in Melbourne, a perfect excuse to sit in my studio and make cards. Birthday Delivery is a particularly interesting suite, because there are stamps, framelit dies and Designer Series Paper which co-ordinate so well, it almost hampers your imagination. Oh, NO!!!

I decided to see what I could do with Pool Party, this soft aqua-blue, which is one of my favourites. I've been enjoying colouring the chef and the cake in, and the little piece of retired ribbon finished with a flower from Jar Of Love seemed to tie in with the flowers on the cake.

For my next card, it's just a little bouquet of flowers which the wee girl could hold behind her back. There are a couple of squares cut with Stitched Shapes and the words are softly stamped in Basic Gray archival ink. It's a quick and easy card to put together, but rather sweet, don't you think?

I couldn't resist adding some of those new Glitter Enamel Dots, it's great the way the colours are variegated and these came from the softer end of the spectrum.

This is one of the other features of this suite. Some of the dies can cut both a stamped image and the designer series paper. Do you want to take a quick look in the shop? It's not a bad idea to purchase a bundle like this in July, because Stampin' Up!® will email you a code to use with your order in August which gives you a $9 voucher for every $90 purchased this month. That's a 10% discount!
Use this Host code ( MSV9HQST ) in my online shop, and you'll get a gift from me in the mail too.
Any questions, you can leave a comment and I'll do my best to help out.

Keep on crafting,
Rachel
