Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. This is week #36 and we are creating with Moody Mauve. This is an InColor and at the end of the annual catalogue it will be retired, along with Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat.
Ever keen to try out new products with this soon-retiring colour I pulled the Memorable Blooms bundle and the Plaster Painting 3D textured embossing folder from my box of new arrivals.
Beginning by passing some white card stock through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss using the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder for a very textured finish. Using a blending brush, I drew more attention to that texture with Moody Mauve ink.
Stripes were hand drawn on the card base and the insert border.
A piece of scrap card held down on my insert helped create a straight finish to these hand-drawn stripes.
Now it is time to head to see what Andrea Sargent has created, it's bound to be amazing!

Happy crafting,
Very pretty card Rachel. The Plaster Painting Embossing folder looks lovely highlighted by the Moody Mauve ink brushed over it.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Rachel, you are making this bundle very hard to resist! I might have to tip it into my next order as it is so stunning. Love your colouring of the focal floral image and the hand drawn stripes too!
ReplyDeleteLovely card. I love the stitched dies that you used for the flowers.
ReplyDeleteI love your creativity on this card, Rachel! The embossed background looks so good with Moody Mauve ink blended on it, and I really like the hand-drawn stripes - such a fun detail. Beautiful use of new products.
ReplyDeleteRachel the softly brushed embossed panel adds lovely texture behind the die cut panel and your beautifully coloured floral spray. Brilliant idea to add stripes on the inner card too.
