CTC #409 Artistic Expressions

CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too. I was inspired to CASE the card at top left of the picture below.

Using a technique called Emboss Resist, I placed two different leaf stamps from Irresistible Blooms stamp set onto the one block and stamped a half sheet of Shimmery White card stock with versamark. White embossing powder was sprinkled over the images and heat set with a Stampin' Up! Heat Tool.

The reason for the half sheet was I wanted to try two different ways to make this card. Above shows the version where I watercoloured the ink across the images with a water painter and set it aside to dry.

For the second card I've used a blending brush to add colour over the leaf images, and finally sprayed with a spritzer to create the droplets.
