The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #31 and we are sharing Mossy Meadow.
Mossy Meadow was once an In Color which made its way into our Neutrals range when we had a colour refresh a few years ago. I wasn't overly fond of it originally, but it has grown on me. (Pun intended! LOL)
There are new products in the house just begging to be used, so I broke open the pack of Delicate Desert DSP and stamped some geometric borders in Mossy Meadow. Desert Details is the name of the stamp set, and the dies.
The Pale Papaya spots is the reverse of the Soft Succulent paper used here. It injects a bit of life into the shades of green used on this card, and so the sentiment was stamped onto that colour card too.
It was so relaxing to sit and colour the succulents with Stampin' Blends in many shades of green including Mossy Meadow, Soft Succulent and Granny Apple Green.
Borders were stamped inside too. They're fairly easy to do by just eye-balling the position, but I did fill in the gap between with another stamp from a set called Stitchery. Since I also patchwork, I HAD to have that set, and so look for opportunities to include it onto paper projects.
If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.
Happy birthday Rachel - what a wonderful card to celebrate your birthday. It's so lovely to see these beautiful products being used with some existing products. The Pale Papaya spotted paper looks fantastic with Mossy Meadow and your beautifully coloured succulents.
ReplyDeleteYou are so punny! LOL!!! I love the stamped borders, both on the DSP and the inside of your card. The succulents work perfectly with the design. Fabulous card!
ReplyDeleteRachel, this is such a great card. I love the new Desert Details stamps and the DSP is fantastic. Love how you used the reverse side and then incorporate that into the sentiment. Your succulents are wonderful, I love it all!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Rachel and great tempter for the upcoming new products. The Pale Papaya paper works beautifully with the succulents and Mossy Meadow.
ReplyDeleteI think those borders (I called them Aztec-y) are a beautiful complement to the succulents, Rachel. LOVE the inclusion of Pale Papaya - a little unexpected, but so good! Lovely card.
