Colour Creations # 31 - Mossy Meadow

The participants in AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours alphabetically. This is week #31 and we are sharing Mossy Meadow.

Mossy Meadow was once an In Color which made its way into our Neutrals range when we had a colour refresh a few years ago. I wasn't overly fond of it originally, but it has grown on me. (Pun intended! LOL)

There are new products in the house just begging to be used, so I broke open the pack of Delicate Desert DSP and stamped some geometric borders in Mossy Meadow. Desert Details is the name of the stamp set, and the dies.

The Pale Papaya spots is the reverse of the Soft Succulent paper used here. It injects a bit of life into the shades of green used on this card, and so the sentiment was stamped onto that colour card too.

It was so relaxing to sit and colour the succulents with Stampin' Blends in many shades of green including Mossy Meadow, Soft Succulent and Granny Apple Green.

Borders were stamped inside too. They're fairly easy to do by just eye-balling the position, but I did fill in the gap between with another stamp from a set called Stitchery. Since I also patchwork, I HAD to have that set, and so look for opportunities to include it onto paper projects.

Following me this week is Di Furniss

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of our host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

Handmade For You

Today I inked up two stamp sets which hadn't seen ink before - Stitchery and Handmade For You. It was Melbourne's 202nd day in lockdown, but I'm getting through by scheduling blocks of activities. So a little stamping in the morning, then a walk. Lunch and some sewing in the afternoon, so stamps that cross over into my other interests always make their way home with me.

The colours were decided by a Colour INKspiration challenge on Facebook.

The quilt I am making at the moment is a queen bed size, with a background similar to the Fresh Freesia (soft mauve) and very bright vibrant fabrics by Kaffe Fassett. It will be a gift for a family member, so a card to go with it will not be wasted.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the stitching, and stepped it after each stamping to get an even distance between. The three flowers across the bottom were also stamped using the step stamping on the Stamparatus. To keep the stitched theme I've used the Pierced Blooms Dies.
