The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 13 of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are sharing Cherry Cobbler.
I didn't want to make a Christmas card, and I did want to use some water coloured images. Fond of Autumn has been on my desk for a week or so, and it had another run.
Cheerful Basket provided a wonderful image to colour as a bucket/barrel to hold this big bouquet. I was rather nervous while I was dropping ink onto the Fluid 100 paper, but I'm thrilled with how it turned out. All the floral images are from Fond Of Autumn.
Using blending brushes and masks, the checked background has been coloured with Blushing Bride and Cherry Cobbler.
Just a small flower on the inside to finish off.
Next up is Andrea Sargent

The plaid background you created (showing Cherry Cobbler in lovely soft tones) brings to mind a picnic blanket/tablecloth, which ties in beautifully with the pail of autumnal flowers, Rachel. The watercoloured images look fantastic. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteStunning watercolouring, Rachel. I love that big basket too!
ReplyDeleteI love the Blushing Bride with Cherry Cobbler in the background masking and your Watercolouring technique on the flowers is beautiful Rachel

ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful card Rachel! I really love how the soft, curvy, generous bouquet of flowers is in complete contrast to the grid pattern background - which as someone else mentioned, looks like a picnic cloth, so it goes great with the basket!
ReplyDeleteLove it Rachel, great water colouring.
ReplyDeleteI was also determined not to make a christmas card as well Rachel! Your card is fabulous as is your watercolouring. The plaid background is a perfect choice to compliment the Autumnal basket.
