Colour Creations Blog Hop - Poppy Parade

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. This is week 37 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and as we use the colours alphabetically, we are up to Poppy Parade.

I love a stamp and punch bundle. They are so easy to use, and so often rather cute images, like Hello Ladybug and the Ladybug Builder Punch.

I was away at my Holiday house with my older ink pads, and obviously Poppy Parade needed re-inking. In the end, I decided that the inked wings looked distressed - just like the DSP from Hey Sports Fan.

The gridlines, firstly inspired by the sudoku my husband enjoys playing, were drawn with a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. They look like a Tic Tac Toe grid, and look - there's three in a row! A win to the ladybugs!!!

Now it's time to hop on over to wonderfully talented Andrea

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, CathyProctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

  1. Oh Rachel this is an adorable look and I love the "vintage was" effect, even if it was unintentional! It's a perfect match for the the Hey Sports Fan DSP.

  2. Delightful card Rachel. Love the 3 ladybugs in a row, with the distressed crinkled leaves. Great with the Poppy Parade stripes in the background. A fun card xxx

  4. I love the grid design (great inspiration!), and the "distressed" look of the ladybugs' wings, to beautifully co-ordinate with the DSP you used, Rachel. Very cute card, and great way to showcase Poppy Parade!

  7. Who would've known that your ink pad needed topping up. The wings look like they were meant to be that way. Love the grid design!

  8. Gorgeous, who doesn't love a ladybug, especially when there are 3 in a row! Very clever design, Rachel and the distress look works beautifully with the DSP stripes.
