Colour Creations - Granny Apple Green

In week 20, Colour Creations are showcasing Granny Apple Green. Another colour from the Brights family, I wanted to try the alcohol and Stampin' Blends technique, and I think it turned out very well. The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! Australian demonstrators and members of Art With Heart.

It actually bears some similarity to camouflage, although my sons would no doubt tell me it was not authentic.
Campology was my stamp of choice for this one.

Enjoy The Moment supplied the crisp "Happy Birthday" heat embossed with whit on black, while Sunny Sentiments has a great longer birthday sentiment, perfect for the inside of the card.

Two of my sons like to camp, which is why this idea came to me, but both have already had their birthdays this year. I'll have to make sure I don't put it away so safely that I never see it again ! LOL!!

Have you tried this technique with isoprol alcohol and Stampin' Blends yet? I'm happy to give some pointers if you get in touch. I also demonstrated the technique on Facebook. Click this link

I'm looking forward to seeing what our lovely Cathy Proctor is sharing this week.

  6. What a lovely male card Rachel. I have been wanting to try this technique for ages. Although the word Campology really means the art of ringing bells, and this always makes me laugh. Can't wait to go camping again though.
