In week 20, Colour Creations are showcasing Granny Apple Green. Another colour from the Brights family, I wanted to try the alcohol and Stampin' Blends technique, and I think it turned out very well. The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! Australian demonstrators and members of Art With Heart.
Enjoy The Moment supplied the crisp "Happy Birthday" heat embossed with whit on black, while Sunny Sentiments has a great longer birthday sentiment, perfect for the inside of the card.
Have you tried this technique with isoprol alcohol and Stampin' Blends yet? I'm happy to give some pointers if you get in touch. I also demonstrated the technique on Facebook. Click this link
I'm looking forward to seeing what our lovely Cathy Proctor is sharing this week.
Oh my goodness, Rachel, what a fantastic masculine card. I love your background so much I can't stop looking at this. So cool!
ReplyDeleteWow, stunning background effect Rachel!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love this, Rachel! Great masculine card ... love the colours, love the alcohol technique (no, I haven't tried it yet!), and love how you carried over the theme inside your card. Great job with Granny Apple Green. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat card Rachel. The alcohol technique and your chosen colours work so well with the Campology stamp set. A terrific card for someone who loves to camp. Good luck finding it next year. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous masculine card Rachel. I love the effect you have created with Stampin’ Blends and Alcohol. Great choice of stamp sets. Please don’’t loose it in a really safe place. The fella who receives it will love it. Xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely male card Rachel. I have been wanting to try this technique for ages. Although the word Campology really means the art of ringing bells, and this always makes me laugh. Can't wait to go camping again though.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a wonderful effect you have achieved with your alcohol background, stunning. Great choice of stamps for your masculine card. Which ever son receives this next year, will certainly be pleased!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun using the Isopropyl alcohol and the markers and you have definitely made it look like camouflage
ReplyDeleteYour camp background looks amazing! It's perfect for the Campology stamp set. Good luck on keeping it in a safe spot for next year! LOL
