Ride The Range

I wonder if you've noticed this stamp set on page 68 of the January to June Mini catalogue. I have a grandson who has just turned 7, and this is the card I made for him.

It is sort of two cards joined together. A standard card at the back and a smaller z card attached to the front.

The reason this is perfect for Oliver is because he has an obsession with farming, and ever since he was a wee boy, we've played 'farms'. We let the cows out, and move them around the paddocks, so it was the cows that won me here.

I loved using new designer series paper Beauty Of The Earth. This is my favourite piece, and even the inside of the card has the same paper, just the middle segment. Love the hints of foliage in the background.

The hay bales were stamped in bumblebee onto Soft Saffron card, and I tried sponging a little extra colour around the edges. Oliver seemed to like the windmills best, and the fact it was a double card.

The sentiment is from a long retired set, which I've hung onto, to use for special kids.
