CTC#264 Week 1

Welcome back, it's week 1 of CASE-ing The Catty, and this time the challenge is to case any sketch from the mini catalogue and give it a male twist! It just so happens that tomorrow is my eldest son's 44th birthday (I was actually in labour on leap day) so he's lucky he isn't celebrating his 11th while his eldest turned 12 last week!!!

Using the sketch for a card showcasing My Meadow, as my inspiration, which 'as is' could be suitable for either gender anyway, I turned it 90 degrees. My Meadow, A Good Man and Do The Impossible were the stamps I chose.

The narrow panel for the art piece was bordered with Crumb Cake, the sentiment overlapped and I used a piece of the grass from My Meadow. I had intended to use a lot more of the scene, but with the orientation altered, I did run out of space!

Matthew used to be a keen rider, but I think with work and the 3 childrens' activities, that may have gone by the wayside. Surfing is his other hobby and he snatches a wave or two when he can.

His youngest is Alice, my only grand-daughter out of 7 grandies, so this stamp is very suitable. She will also celebrate her 7th birthday on March 8th, International Womens Day!

My lovely friend Julia Quinn is next up this week. I wonder if its a card, scrapbook page or something else. Let's go check it out!

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, use the Host Code when asked at check out, & I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. The items listed below were used in my project above, and link to that item in my online shop.
