NEWS
February has been a busy month for me with travel, birthdays and new activities. My husband and I took a short break at Lorne to celebrate my retirement and mid-month I headed off to the Adelaide Hills to visit my good friend and travel buddy, Kathryn.

Kathryn showed me around Hahndorf, Victor Harbor and we had a day out in the Barossa Valley.

I also caught up with other Stampin' Up! friends, who I'd have never met if we all hadn't decided to jump on board with this great crafting company.

Five in this photo, including me, are Stampin' Up! demos. Many join for the discount off their own craft supplies, but the friendships develop on our online forums and we love to meet up in person when possible. I have been a part of Stampin' Up! for 9 years on February 28th and if you'd like to join my team, the FUNdamentals, I'd love to have you. SALE-A-Bration is a good time to join as there is an extra stamp set, a mini guillotine and a pack of DSP as well as $235 worth of your choice of product, for only $165.

CLASS NEWS

I had the pleasure of sharing this card at Kathryn's regular monthly class, and it will be part of the March classes in South Morang. It is a technique called Faux Silk and used the  Positive Thoughts stamp set, plus Very Versailles. The Afternoon Craft session is Wednesday 25 March at 1pm - 4pm or however long you can stay. You may bring your own equipment, but I will have a paper trimmer, scissors etc available to share and all card etc is part of the class fee. It costs $25 to make 3 cards, with envelopes or its free with a $100 order.

The Social Stampers meet on Friday night, 27 March at 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Ideally, that should finish by 10pm. The same arrangements apply for payment.

February Class Samples

The evening Social Stampers didn't happen in February, but hopefully March will be a different story. Both the groups make the same cards and two of the Afternoon Crafters shared their February creations. You'll notice small variations between the cards, I do like people to add their own spin on my designs.

BIRTHDAYS
February was another big birthday month in our family with Logan turning 10 on the 14th, and Xavier our first grandson turning 12 on the 21st.

I found it a little challenging to come up with a card for Logan this year. He's into BMX biking, and is mad for cars so last year he loved his All Geared Up card, but this time I chose Bonanza Buddies. Even though its not perfect, I'm sure the dollars inside were!! I managed to finish a quilt for Logan too, which he was extremely happy with.

Xavier received a guitar from us, so I borrowed the retired Country Livin' from my good friend, and paired it with the new Music From The Heart. Music is a foreign language for me unfortunately so I googled 'Happy Birthday' and tried to transfer that to the card front.

My garden is giving me so much pleasure now that I have time, and the zucchinis, tomatoes and cucumbers are tasty, while the roses are beautiful. I've also joined the U3A and have been to yoga and I'm attempting to learn more Italian before I go to Italy in May. I have to admit that I am having a few misgivings with coronavirus now affecting northern Italy, but we'll wait and see before making a final decision.

Don't forget to add the Host Code Y9FVAWBP to any of your smaller online orders until March 31st when a new number is issued. An order over $250 gives YOU 10% in host dollars to add to your order. Also until March 31st, try to order in $90 amounts to earn SALE-A-Bration freebies. On the 3rd March there will be some additions to the range if you already have everything you want from the first part of SAB.
