Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week the design team are focusing on pages 34-37 of the Occasions Catalogue, from which you can order 3rd January - 3rd June 2019.
My inspiration came from the Lemon-Lime Twist card (above) on page 34 where a line has been ruled on the gingham to make it more of a plaid. Although I do really like the gingham just as it is, I decided to try out a couple of colours for fun.
Lovely Lipstick was inked onto the Lemon-Lime Twist gingham, to place behind Mother Duck and her happy little trio.
Yellow and blue are always nice together so the Daffodil Delight has Blueberry Bushel added. Stampin' Write markers are perfect for the lines, but I prefer to use the alcohol-based marker Stampin' Blends for the colouring.
This isn't so much CASE-ing but what generally happens when you start crafting with a pile of products you like. I just had to make the Peter Rabbit look-alike and another duck minus ducklings. Gives you a chance to see two more colours in this lovely gingham paper, and the fifth shade is Highland Heather.
The stitched rectangle framelits give the nicest borders, and the gingham print seems ideal for a baby.
Next along this hop is our fearless leader, Rebecca Scurr in Queensland.
