January 2019 - What's New?

Hello and Happy New Year. I hope you have enjoyed the festive season and look forward now to an adventure-filled year ahead. I have had a few days away at Phillip Island, where the weather was great for walking and crafting, but not really swimming! One of our sons has gone to take our place today, and they look to be having much hotter weather than we did.

On January 3rd, the Occasions Catalogue launches with new stamps, embellishments and colours in Stampin' Blends amongst the offerings. It is selling through to June, when the next Annual catalogue is released. I will be advertising catalogue pick up opportunities on my Facebook business page over the next couple of weeks, and if you have a few extra minutes to spare, I'd love you to pop into my craft room and make a quick card.

My Top Five Catalogue Faves.

1. Wonderful Romance Bundle -stamps and dies.
There is a beautiful bunch of flowers, 2 differents leaves , a small single flower and 3 sentiments. The stamps are the new cling type, which look like those we called clear mount, but they have sticky labels. The dies cut out these 4 floral images, and then there is a gorgeous edging with leaves (see the soft seafoam card) and an oval for sentiments with an interesting border.
2. Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies - 13 sizes
Hidden away on page 28 are these rectangle framelits we've been hanging out for, and they do not disappoint. They fit with the sizes we use in Australia, a real bonus as the cards are different dimensions in the States.

3.  Nine Lives and Happy Tails - cat and dog stamp set with punches to match! The cat punch is an existing item in the Annual catalogue, but you can buy Happy Tails bundled with its punch for a 10% saving and if you already have the cat punch, the stamp set is only $25. Happy Tails Bundle (stamp and punch) is $53 with the 10% discount.

4. Classic Garage Suite - something for the guys, and even a few girls I guess. It is hard to pick what I like most about this suite, but you can't go wrong starting with the 6" X 6" Classic Garage designer series paper. With 48 sheets of paper in the pack, you will be able to make a huge variety of cards. Classic Garage Metal Elements doesn't really tell you how cute these trinkets are. A car key and a tiny spanner are so cute, and I have already added some to cards for "New Wheels", maybe for 18ths and 21sts too?

5. Incredible Like You Project Kit - This one is flexible with lovely layered cards and a label for the sentiment. Although it is designed to be used with the Incredible Like You stamp set (available separately) you could use any sentiment on these labels. I have made up some of these while I've been away and found them a delight to play with.
SALE-A-Bration
I can assure you, there is plenty to fall for in the catalogue, and when you consider that SALE-A-Bration is on through to the end of March, it could be the time to buy some packs of card, stock up on adhesive and score yourself one of the exclusive limited time offerings in the SAB catalogue. With every $90 ordered, you can choose one item from the SAB catalogue at no extra cost. It really is a fun time of year for crafters!

Host An Event
It is also a great time to host your Stampin' Up! event at home. Not only will you earn SAB items on your purchases, your guests do too. There are also extra Host dollars paid during SALE-A-Bration, and I'd love to hold an event for you. Together we'll plan the project you'd like to share with your friends. January has a lot of days available because I'm not at my 'other' job. Evenings and some Saturdays are available in February and March if you like to plan well ahead.
