Happy Day FMS 90

I've had some time to play with new products again, and I decided to use this weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches again. I keep a file of these sketches too, just in case my inspiration runs dry!
I have also entered CAS on Sunday challenge 10, which is "Black, white plus one." My plus one is Smoky Slate.

I have used Basic Black card, and the new light grey colour, Smoky Slate. It is such a gentle shade of grey, I can see  me using it lots.
I put ink to my new set, Happy Day and layered up the medallion stamp with some black scallop circles between and topped it off with a Basic Jewel Rhinestone. The Happy Day greeting is one of four bold greetings in the set, I think this one is perfect for a wedding or birthday card.

The others are sweet, sweet moments, hello there and smile, all written lower case. It looks very effective, I think.

I've notched the end out of a piece of the two-tone grey ribbon, used a button from the retiring neutrals in grey and topped it off with the large rhinestone that are sold in a separate pack of 40.

Happy Day available 2 July 2013

Hope your day is a happy one too

  1. Great combination of the challenges. The monotone colors are really unique. Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  2. This is beautiful, Rachel - the first thought that came to mind was "classically elegant", but Linda had that covered in her comment!

  3. Such an elegant card! Thanks for playing with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  4. I was just about to say the same as Allisa above and am going to. Such an elegant card.

  5. Very elegant card. Thank you for joining us at CAS on Sunday. Luv, Wilma
