Mix Old With New

This class in June is all about mixing old and new products. If you want the Petal Passion DSP - so fabulous in black and white, but even more fabulous in colour - you need to put it on an order right now. 11.50pm on 31st May, it's gone.

I've reserved enough for a class on June 15th at 7pm, so you can try out the Stampin' Blends for colouring. They are so smooth, and have been in demand so much that Stampin' Up! had to turn the order code off for a month to allow the manufacturer to catch up. They are simple to understand too, coming in just light and dark of familiar Stampin' Up! colours, and as you can buy them singly, you can get a handful to start with to practise.

I wanted to use the Stitched All Round stamp and matching dies (the label), and laid it over that gorgeous ornate die from Petals & More Thinlits. Now the good news is that Petal Palette and the Petals & More Thinlits ARE carrying over into the new catalogue, but won't be bundled for a 10% discount after tomorrow. Only the paper is retiring.

If you visit my online shop and make an order, use the Host code and I'll be pleased to pop a gift in the mail to you.

Life Is Sweeter

This is a card great for using DSP (designer series paper, patterned paper), and it is actually a little different from usual. It has a central panel which is the opening part, adhered to a single piece of cardstock 14.5 cm by 10.5 cm. I've used the soon-to-retire Petal Passion DSP and a new stamp set, Detailed With Love. Isn't it a pretty font?

This is one of the cards we will make at my June class, so book in now to make this and 2 others on Friday 15th June 7pm - 9.30pm or Saturday 16th June 2pm - 4.30pm. I am able to assist you if you're new to stamping.

You're Awesome

It's always fun to combine different stamp sets, and I thought that Epic Celebrations and Pocketful of Sunshine matched up pretty nicely! The first is only available as a bonus item with your $90 purchase, while the second one is in the Annual catalogue on page 64. It retails for $30 # 143719 and is only available in photopolymer. Until May 31st you can get the stamp set & matching dies for use in your Big Shot bundled together #145345 at a 10% discount - $63.75.

It's hard to say how this card came about, but I was working on a card for a 10 year old using the pocket and was looking for something else for that card.

Petal Passion DSP, which is black and white and mainly floral, has this geometric piece also, which looks great brayered in a couple of colours, and an off-cut for the inside.

The stitched circle pieces were just hanging about in my scraps tub, but seem to tie in well with the card.

Back in July I made this card with daisies too.

Time has almost run out for SALE-A-Bration but you can still shop online, even over Easter.
SALE-A-Bration finishes Sunday night, 31st March 2018.

Picture Perfect Party for CTC#160

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, demonstrate Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

You've been able to order from the new Stampin' Up!® Occasions catalogue for a few days now, I wonder if you have yet? We are CASE-ing pages 4-9 this week, which takes in Picture Perfect Party Suite as well as some other summery stamp sets.
My daughter-in-law starts off the Palmieri family birthday year on January 5th, and one of her gifts is a pendant necklace. It has a black and white floral print, quite similar to the paper, with the odd flower coloured pink, just like I have done using a Stampin' Marker.

The layout of the centre card from the Catalogue pic is the one I chose to CASE here. The Petal Passion designer series paper (DSP) in black and white, is similar to the design on the pendant. Also, this floral has a stripe on the reverse, and the card I CASE-d used a strip of stripe at the bottom of the DSP. You can probably see that I've used the same greeting too.

The sentiment inside is from Picture Perfect Birthday, and the words are perfect for this lovely lady. You can check out this stamp set on page 5 of the Occasions Catalogue, it might just suit the birthday cards you need to make too.

This card is also CASE-d from page 4 but it's a smaller picture at the bottom of the page where two donuts sit on a pair of banners. I've struggled with this card, and ended up with two ice creams (Cool Treats) and two bottles from the NEW Bubble Over (page 32 Occasions). I used the 'treat yourself' from Bubble Over too, while 'Happiest Birthday' is from Cool Treats. I'm not sure if it's all too much, what do you think?

See those sweet little bottle caps? You get 4 in the die set, so you can cut multiples with each pass of the Big Shot. That seems like a good idea.

Next you are heading on to see the talentented Fi Cobbin
