Colourful Thanks CI#12

Colour INKspiration is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the South Pacific, all through Australia and New Zealand. We love to get together for these colour challenges, to inspire each other, and you, to create. We love it when you join in with our challenges to share your work and all you need is a Facebook presence. You can link in here on Facebook.

The colours this challenge are Whisper White, Night of Navy, Elegant Eggplant, Cherry Cobbler, Flirty Flamingo, Dapper Denim, Smokey Slate and Peekaboo Peach. The challenge is to use four or more of these colours and I managed to use all but one, Night of Navy.

This is a clean and layered card, beginning with Smokey Slate for the base. I wanted to try out a new technique, Distressed Glue Background. I've tried out two different types of glue today, and had to wait hours for one to dry, not so long with the other. This was even with the help of the heat gun!!!The finish with this is very effective, it does have some similarities to Heat Emboss Resist, but much more random. Do you like the patterns it has made?

Mostly this is quite subtle, with the sponged colours blending into one another. The Dapper Denim layer and Cherry Cobbler bakers twine give it a little more definition. I think I might include this card in a techniques class later this year. Would you be interested in taking this class?

You should head over to Rose Packer now,

Happy crafting!
