The sketch at CASE This Sketch encouraged me to stretch my creativity. I had a lot of (messy) fun, trying to make my own mask for the three circles work out, with Strawberry Slush and Pear Pizzazz inking up Dictionary stamp, in a random fashion. It took a couple of tries, I had to alter my mask, and change from sponging the ink to actually pressing the ink pad onto the stamp, but its all fun and games.
Next I inked up Age Awareness, one of the new stamp sets in photopolymer. Let me tell you, that makes it so much easier to place words in a straight line, because it is clear, but they do stain more than red rubber. It seemed totally appropriate to acknowledge FB's role in my remembering the occasion.
The colours were suggested for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge and you'll find loads of inspiration by the design team and in the gallery. The Momento black ink did look a little bold, which is why I decided to ink up the vase from Pictogram Punches with a black Stampin' Write Marker to balance the composition. Then with two flowers in Pictogram Punches and another in Something To Say, which all fit the Itty Bitty Accents punch, my job was easy. There are some Pear Pizzazz Candy Dots here and there, and a layer of Pear Pizzazz between the Very Vanilla and Strawberry Slush.
Doesn't it sound like ice cream flavours?
Now you don't usually get to see my cards finished off, but as this one will be in the mail very shortly, I have stamped the inside with another vase of flowers, and the same on the envelope.
