Happy Day FMS 90

I've had some time to play with new products again, and I decided to use this weeks sketch at Freshly Made Sketches again. I keep a file of these sketches too, just in case my inspiration runs dry!
I have also entered CAS on Sunday challenge 10, which is "Black, white plus one." My plus one is Smoky Slate.

I have used Basic Black card, and the new light grey colour, Smoky Slate. It is such a gentle shade of grey, I can see  me using it lots.
I put ink to my new set, Happy Day and layered up the medallion stamp with some black scallop circles between and topped it off with a Basic Jewel Rhinestone. The Happy Day greeting is one of four bold greetings in the set, I think this one is perfect for a wedding or birthday card.

The others are sweet, sweet moments, hello there and smile, all written lower case. It looks very effective, I think.

I've notched the end out of a piece of the two-tone grey ribbon, used a button from the retiring neutrals in grey and topped it off with the large rhinestone that are sold in a separate pack of 40.

Happy Day available 2 July 2013

Hope your day is a happy one too
Rachel

  2. This is beautiful, Rachel - the first thought that came to mind was "classically elegant", but Linda had that covered in her comment!
