CTC#265 Week 1

This week the CASE-ing The Catty design team are focusing on the second release SALE-A-Bration catalogue.

I've selected the sketch of the coffee cups card in the middle of the top left picture to make my 'Congratulations' card using Happy Birthday To Youone of the most popular of the SALE-A-Bration stamp sets. The elements I've used are ribbon twisted back and forth behind the die cut, central placement of the die cut, and a banner to carry the sentiment.

It then becomes a whole different card because of the colour change and a different image. The Garden Lane DSP as a background adds a different look as well. Although green is not a favourite colour of mine, this paper from the Annual catalogue has such subtle backgrounds and soft shades, it is hard to pass it up.

With the cake and flowers coloured with blends in quite soft shades, this is appropriate for a wedding, especially paired with the 'congratulations' and short verse from Beautiful Bouquet. This stamp set would possibly take first prize for thoughtful sentiments. I tried to capture the lovely shimmer of Wink Of Stella on the flowers but it is quite hard to do - you'll have to take my word for it, but its worth adding.

I have also invested in the Coordination Product Release and purchased the Birthday Dies, which cut the whole cake, flowers etc, just the flowers and leaves and two different types of leaves. That is $47, so you just need another $43 to earn the Happy Birthday To You stamp set free, until the end of March, as long as stock lasts.

You may have started the blog hop here, or have come from the lovely Julia Quinn. Whichever it is, there are plenty more samples to view, so keep on to Siobhan at Hightree House of Cards to see what she has CASE-d.

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, use the Host Code when asked at check out, & I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. The items listed below were used in my project above, and link to that item in my online shop.

Leafy Loveliness CTC#258

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, create Craft By Post classes, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

This week we are CASE-ing the Wrapped In Plaid suite from page 12-17. I've really enjoyed the Wrapped in Plaid suite and CASE-d many of my Christmas cards from here, so I decided to go in a different direction. On page 15 Peaceful Boughs is featured, with a lovely leafy version on the left, and a little less-decorated version in the picture to the right.

Today was the day I loved and chopped my Garden Lane DSP, and it hasn't disappointed. #loveitchopit This is the 2 sides of the one sheet of paper, both equally lovely, I'm sure you'll agree. Several different leafy dies were used to cut leaves in 3 different colours and arrange underneath the label. Colorful Seasons has a couple of large greetings and this one is a favourite of mine. It could be for a wedding, graduation or birthday I think.

The second card has a more-patterned paper, so I've only used 2 leaves from Tropical Chic and an embellishment. The layout has been inspired by the red card, and changed around.

The next design team member on this hop is  the amazing Sandra Collett

There is always so much inspiration in these catalogues, I'm sure that is why CASE-ing the Catty is so successful! Now it's your turn to show what you can do with a little catalogue inspiration. Add your work at our Facebook challenge here.

I'd love you to choose my online shop to purchase from, and when you use the Host Code when asked at check out, I will send you a gift, along with a handmade card. The items listed below were used in my projects above, and link to that item in my online shop.
