Colour Creations - Week #18 - Early Espresso

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 18 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are sharing Early Espresso.
Early Espresso is an important member of the colour range, but may often be over-looked. This week I have created monotone cards to allow it to shine.

Cottage Rose and the Abigail Rose DSP were my choices for fairly simple cards this week. You can view this delightful suite on pages 56-57 of the Annual catalogue.

The art work on these stamps is so detailed, I felt that the images could stand their ground without much ornamentation.

You may notice the paper has an interesting edge? They are Deckled Rectangles (P170,AC), stand alone dies introduced in the last annual catalogue. I find myself reaching for them often.

The leaf image has been stamped multiple times, and some splatter from a Stampin' Write Early Espresso marker was added for a little bit of 'grunge'.

The lovely soft suede-like ribbon was added here, along with Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed dots.

The very talented Tina Gillespie follows me this time.

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

Colour Creations Week12 - Calypso Coral

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 12 of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are sharing Calypso Coral.

Top of my wish list from the Annual Catalogue was Cottage Rose, well actually the whole Abigail Rose suite, and the Split  Card Textures dies. I've paired them here for our Calypso Coral challenge this week, and after using the lattice-style version for a few of these Colour Creations challenges, it's time to let the floral one shine.

Even covered with the art panel, the textured cut out shows a delightful glimpse of Calypso Coral and helps to bring out the colours added to the flower.

The text used on Cottage Rose is an elegant script paired with a straight-forward no-nonsense type, and this one added to the inside is a fave of mine. Aren't these images delicate?

It really is easy to raise the Split Card Texture panels with a mix of 2 sizes of Dimensionals. Early Espresso seemed to call for the black ones this time.

Next on the hop is the amazing Amie
