The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week 18 of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and we are sharing Early Espresso.
Early Espresso is an important member of the colour range, but may often be over-looked. This week I have created monotone cards to allow it to shine.Cottage Rose and the Abigail Rose DSP were my choices for fairly simple cards this week. You can view this delightful suite on pages 56-57 of the Annual catalogue.
The art work on these stamps is so detailed, I felt that the images could stand their ground without much ornamentation.
The very talented Tina Gillespie follows me this time.
If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.
I really like how you allow the line images to shine, as stand-alone features on your cards, Rachel. They look beautiful in Early Espresso. I'm a big fan of the Deckled Rectangles dies, too - and love how you've used them.
ReplyDeleteTwo oh so beautiful monotone cards Rachel. I love your chosen DSP your the colour combo. Yes, the details on the Cottage Rose stamps stand on their own. I love your use of the Deckled Rectangles dies - they work so well with your colours and layouts. Xxx
ReplyDeleteRachel, you are totally right these images can stand their ground without much ornamentation. I love your monochrome cards and the deckled rectangles are simply perfect for your design.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so beautiful. I'm glad that you've left them uncoloured, I agree that they really don't need it.
ReplyDeleteLovely and simple cards Rachel and the deckled rectangles give them a really shabby-chic feel,
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous monochromatic cards Rachel and yes the stamped images are so beautiful that they don't need any additional work.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards Rachel. You’re right, the stamped images are detailed enough to stand alone, and how you have treated them really works with the DSP design. Lovely!
