The Faux Silk technique softens the stamped images and adds some lovely texture.
Faux Silk Technique
- After stamping your art piece, you cover it quite generously with a normal glue stick.
- Take a piece of white tissue paper, larger than the image you need to cover and screw it into a tiny ball.
- Smooth it out, but not too much as you require wrinkles to give it character.
- Press down firmly to the front of work, then either trim excess tissue or fold it neatly behind.
- Mount it onto a piece of card 0.5cm larger and add to your card.
- Decorate as you wish.
This card was an option for classes in my home studio - South Morang VIC - during May.
