The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. Each week we share projects made with a selected colour from the Stampin' Up! range. For week 25 we are sharing Mango Melody.
Using Masks, blending brushes, Mango Melody and Polished Pink Ink pads I created the graduated background. Several flowers from Art Gallery were stamped in the two colours, and layered to the bottom left.
So after you've done all this work and you drop your card onto an open ink pad..... what do you do to save the day?
You cut out another lot of letters, and lay them over the top! So easy when you've used the Adhesive Sheets on the back of the card stock.
Next talented team member to share is the lovely Christine Blain
Oh Rachel! What a disaster, but wow, you really saved the day! I love your background blending, your vibrant colour combo and how you turned a negative into a positive!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Mango Melody and Polished Pink together ... beautiful! I love your use of colour on this card, Rachel; the blended, stencilled, background and the flowers are gorgeous. Nice save with the die cut sentiment, too!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Rachel. I love your colour combo - Mango Melody with a strong bright pink is gorgeous. Your masked background is delightful, especially with the colours brought through into the flowers. You recovered the card from disaster - brilliant. Xxx
ReplyDeleteOh no, don't you hate it when a mishap happens as soon as you've finished?!! I think we've all done that, sadly. But your card is gorgeous and I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. I adore that blended masked background and what a great choice in the Polished Pink to compliment the Mango Melody!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and a great save, Rachel. Very pretty colour combo and I’m inspired to get my unused masks out and create a beautiful background just like yours.
