Colour Creations - Early Espresso

Early Espresso is a versatile neutral, which can be used to replace black for a slightly softer look. Seems to me its perfect for these palm trees stamped on Basic White or Crumb Cake.

Timeless Tropical always reminds me of the two wonderful trips we have made to Hawaii, and how some of the more remote islands are true tropical paradises. The palm trees are silhouettes, with a gentler look, providing a pleasant contrast to Balmy Blue.

This lovely sentiment has also been stamped in Early Espresso, and trimmed down to be less obtrusive across the image. I swiped an ink pad across the card to represent the sea.

A second card was made using a similar plan, and the addition of some pops of Magenta Madness. The fonts used in Timeless Tropical contrast to emphasise the important thought.

The swiped ink technique is more obvious here, but maybe the frangipani is a little too distracting!

I wonder what Michele Taylor is sharing this week, I'm sure it will be amazing!

  4. Gorgeous cards Rachel. There are so many fantastic elements. I love your ink pad swiped sea and your colour combination of Balmy Blue with Early Expresso. Your layering focusing on the feature scenes with the palm trees and pineapple or frangipanis is delightful - and no the Magenta Madness flowers are delightful. Xxx
