Our feature colour this week is Calypso Coral, in the subtles range but quite a strong coral shade. I'm sure there will be lots of inspiration shared on this blog hop, so make sure you spend the time checking them out. We are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart.
Calypso Coral has been in the range for all of the 10 plus years I've been a demonstrator, but I still have enough card from my very first pack, so I obviously don't use it too often.
Exciting news too! SALE-A-Bration (the second one for the year) begins on August 3rd, and you'll be able to get the Summer Shadows Dies FREE with your $180 order. Since the stamp set costs $40, that leaves you plenty to stock up on embossing folders, ribbon, ink or embellishments for your paper crafting.
It had been a couple of weeks since I last used the Basic Borders dies, and the design I had in mind lent itself to some sort of interesting edge. That left a curved piece to finish off the inside of the card, with another stamped flower as well.

Beautiful subtle card Rachel, I love how you’ve used the Basic Border Dies
ReplyDeleteClearly I am the last to come to the party, realising Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral go so beautifully together! Beautiful job with those pretty flowers, Rachel ... and yes, I can see the gorgeous embossing on the white panel. Love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Rachel. I love the way you have combined the border dies, embossing folder, floral stamps and dies to create such a lovely coordinated card.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look amazing - I love how you've used the two inks on them. Such a pretty card!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the Basic Border dies, Rachel, as well as the new Summer Shadows Dies. Your flowers look so beautiful stamped in Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card Rachel and love the sponging on the floral images. Very clever to use the curved border die and tuck the flower behind it.
ReplyDeleteI had a giggle that this was card from your first purchased pack, haha! Great card with nice interest provided by the textured white card stock layer.
ReplyDeleteWow, Psle Papaya looks so good with Calypso Coral and the way you added the two tones before stamping!!! Those border dies are lovely and the embossed white coordinates well with this stamp set.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely way to add a touch of calypso coral to your flowers Rachel and the embossed white blends beautifully
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Rachel. I keep forgetting to try the technique you’ve used to colour your flowers. It gives such a pretty effect.
ReplyDeleteYour two tone flowers look great and how good do pale papaya and calypso coral look together!
