Week 4 and the colour of the week is Bermuda Bay. This shade of greeny-blue is a favourite of mine, and I love how crisp it looks with navy.
This card is a simple panel design, the height of which was governed by the background stamps. Natural Textures is a HOST stamp, you can order when your total reaches $250. At that point you have earned $25 HOST dollars, and in Australia you need $23 host dollars to add Natural Textures to your order.
A background stamp provides a visual base for the focal point, in this case various botanical images from Lovely You.
Next, I pulled out Whale Done for a play. The whale stamp was inked in Smoky Slate and some Night of Navy applied with a sponge dauber. There is a matching punch for the whale, but you could fussy-cut this too.
Using water colour paper, a wash of Bermuda Bay ink is used for a background. There is a lovely, subtle variation in colour.
The Night of Navy mat is the usual half centimetre larger than the 'art piece', but just for a change they haven't been layered straight, to give a playful feel to the card.
Bermuda Bay is a wonderful colour, I'm sure you will see some amazing projects this week, so lets go and see what Christine Blain is sharing.
If at any stage you come across a broken link, you can get back on track here.
