Heartfelt Sympathy CTC#239

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project.

This week we are CASEing a layout from page 103 and changing the theme. The theme on this page is for children and babies and I have adapted it to be a sympathy card. I've CASE-d the top card, which used Fable Friends, above.

Since I've hardly used the Country Floral embossing folder, I decided to use that, just like in the original, but with Gray Granite card. Nature's Roots was the die set used, and it includes some embossing plates for the leaves too, giving such a delicate touch to these soft shades.

The stamped image of the crossgrain tree trunk is barely visible in the photo after stamping off, but IRL is a lovely subtle background for the design elements, another of which is the three sprigs from the Well Written dies. 'Heartfelt sympathy' is stamped and die cut from Well Said/Well Written. A few stitches on the sewing machine holds it all in place and echo the Stitched Circle it is all sitting on.

The ever-so talented Siobhan is following me this week

  3. Love those pops of colour from the leaves against the grey base. A perfect card for the occasion. I love that you’ve actually stitched in there as well.
