Loving Pink! AWH Bloghop

Tonight members of the Art With Heart team are sharing projects featuring the colour pink. We hope that our blog hop inspires you to get creative with the various shades of pink in the Stampin' Up!® range of 53 colours.

It seems quite funny now, but I wasn't at all fond of pink until I became grandma to a tiny girl about 5½ years ago. I went on a 'pink' spending spree and I haven't looked back ever since. Alice is a big fan of pink too (of course). After 5 sons and at that stage 4 grandsons, having a girl in the family was very....pink!!!

Abstract Impressions features on the left hand card, while on the right is Rooted in Nature. Both these stamp sets feature lovely images and thoughtful sentiments.

Abstract Impressions is a good stamp set for beginners through to experienced stampers. It doesn't need precise placement to achieve an impressive card, and when you add a bit of bling or other embellishments, it can lift it to a whole other level. After stamping, I ran it through the Subtle embossing folder, which is very hard to see except in real life, but adds the subtlest texture to the card. Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo are the pink stars here, and Soft Seafoam is a delightful accompaniment.

Rooted in Nature contains some great images suitable for masculine & sympathy cards, but just see how it shines in shades of pink! The leaves are stamped in a full range from Petal Pink through to Lovely Lipstick. Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo are the colours used for card.

I'm an excited lady tonight, as in the morning I begin my trip to the USA with fellow demonstrator and Art With Heart team member Kathryn Mangelsdorf. This trip began as a bit of a joke between us, and developed over the last 12 months into an actual plan to combine some sightseeing with attending the Stampin' Up!® 30th Anniversary Convention in Orlando, Florida. See you all in 3 weeks, although there will be a few posts set to upload while I'm gone.

Next on the list is my super team leader Sue MadexIf you find a broken link or have come to this blog hop from a different entry point, you can view the participants below:

  1. Both your cards are really beautiful Rachel. I love the layering on your first card and I wouldn't have thought to use Rooted in Nature in shades of pink, both cards are so pretty in pink.
