Exciting New Products

In the stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue going live on 7th January, there is paper collection, Floral Delight DSP which is so bright and cheerful in yellow & green. 

For my card I fussy cut some flowers from Floral Delight DSP to add a little extra to this card using Season of Green & Gold DSP, but how easy would it be to replicate the same look using all the new papers?

Sketch #22 provided the layout again, but I’m looking forward to having some free time to play further with these new products I received early.

I often use the sentiments from Country Birdhouse. I like the way there is a simple Happy birthday for the front of the card and a more elaborate sentiment for the inside.

Sketch #14

To help inspire my crafting I'm following along with the Great American Stampin' Show as they use the sketches from the catalogue as inspiration. This week it is sketch #14 and as usual, you do not have to follow strictly to the same formula. Use the sketch to inspire, and don't forget to send the cards you create.

With it being only two calendar months until Christmas day, it seems a perfect opportunity to interpret this sketch using Merriest Trees, a Christmas bundle released in 2023 and still going strong.

Just to give it a fresh twist, I included some paper from Season of Green & Gold SDSP and kept it fairly true to the sketch. If you stamped and die cut a number of these trees, this card would be a good design to mass produce.

Sketch #5 With the Great American Stamping Show

Sketch #5 was a little challenging for me as I prefer a more symmetrical look and the banner being skewed threw me. It appears that a couple of the Great American Stamping Show girls had the same issue!!!

Initially the card was created in my usual clean, layered style (above) but as I contemplated it, inspiration struck!

By placing foliage from Season of Green & Gold DSP plus Golden Greenery dies in a diagonal arrangement, it was an echo of the sketch, just with an extra layer.

Everything I have used this week is available in the online store and it is never too early to begin making Christmas cards. Not that the GASS girls featured Christmas, you can check their cards here.
