CTC #359 CASE A Die Cut project

The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

Mini Catalogue Page 16

There is such a wide range of projects to pick from when you CASE a die cut project from either catalogue, so I turned to the pages featuring Flowering Tulips for my inspiration. There's a card with red tulips on page 16 of the mini catalogue.

Firstly I changed the designer series paper to this soft pink from Hand-Penned DSP and used softer shades for my tulips too.

Instead of tying the bunch with a ribbon, they're growing in a bucket from Simply Succulents. It was for a special birthday, so glimmery numerals adorn the label.

Such a lovely sentiment in the Flowering Tulips, and it made for a handy way to hold this easel card up.

I do love tulips, and these paper ones will last indefinitely!

We love having you join in our challenges. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE, and let us know which card or project you've CASE-d. No blog required, no special qualifications.

Next design team member to share is Peta

CTC#348 CASE A Sketch

This sketch is similar to one I frequently use to show both sides of DSP and I decided to use Hand Penned DSP.

The jaunty angle to the paper gives a fun twist. The die cut flowers from the Hand Penned Bundle have been backed with some of the Shimmer Vellum that was sitting forgotten in  amongst other paper.

There are a couple of new upcoming products included - the strip of white card used instead of ribbon has been embossed with a new Gingham embossing folder, and the sentiment is from the Blessings Of Home Bundle.

I bought some Ice Cream Corner designer series paper recently when the Clearance Rack was updated.  It was such a bargain that it was sold out in a few days.

It inspired me to use the sketch with Sweet Ice Cream and the Ice Cream Builder Punch. Punching the pieces from the paper is a very easy way to create these yummy ice creams, the one on the inside of the card has been stamped.

The font on the sentiment is lovely, and I've fussy-cut so that it doesn't cover too much of the image.

I'm the last participant on the blog hop this week, but if you've begun hopping part way around, keep on going to no. 1 on the list, Julia Quinn, and continue back to your starting point.

A Soft Succulent Quiet Meadow

Quiet Meadow
is a delightful stamp set, and although it comes with some pretty wonderful dies, bundled for a 10% saving, the stamp set can stand alone too. The only reason I can think of why you wouldn't buy the bundle is if you don't have a die cut machine. You will find pictures and codes at the end of this post, if you'd like to have a closer look at what you get.

This Easy Fancy Fold came to mind as a way I could show a strip of gorgeous Hand Penned DSP, and you do know that you can save 15% off many DSP packs including Hand Penned until August 2nd?

It brings the price down $3 to $17, and you can make so many beautiful cards using this over the year.

When the annual catalogue was released, I participated in a swap with other demonstrators and this was one of the cards I shared with my friends. I gave the blending brushes a good work out over the heat embossed words, and fell in love with that technique while doing it.

Shimmery White card stock gives an added level of luxury. A die cut flower, tied with linen thread finishes off this card, while the label does it's best to hold the card closed.

The Soft Succulent is a soothing shade and the sentiments in Quiet Meadow are equally soft and comforting, and so this card has been stamped on the inside with an additional message.

If you'd like to make cards similar to this, feel free to get in touch if you need more information. If you live anywhere in Australia, you may order from my online store (and I'll do a happy dance)!
