Here we are at the beginning of another year - Happy New Year! CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource, and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.

Especially when there is a new product release, I will often CASE a card very closely because it gives my creative juices a kick start. I am planning on offering this card in pink or blue at a Card Buffet in February and so I made both samples.

One More Year is in the mini catalogue and has a number of fun images and sentiments for birthdays. My team and customers have a preference for birthday cards, so this stamp was a 'must-have'.

Using Timeless Plaid DSP, the same as was used for the catalogue sample but arranged slightly differently gives an interesting background for the stamped image.

Watercolor pencils and a blending pen were my choice for colouring these images both for a variety of techniques and to allow the requirements for each card to be supplied in a basket along with the packs.

A second line from the Happy Birthday greeting was trimmed away after stamping, and a different second sentiment was stamped inside along with a partial cake image.

Now it's your turn. We do request that the projects you submit have been created especially for this challenge. You can CASE directly or be inspired by a sketch/layout, colour combo or embellishment. Ask to join our Facebook group, and then add a picture of your CASE.

Next crew member to share is Rebecca Scurr

I hope you are inspired to create something using the mini catalogue.
