Hasn't March been a strange month? We have needed to show resilience and optimism, without having any idea of how long life will be unsettled. My retirement dinner has been postponed... indefinitely I think, and we went through the process of - 'Do we feel brave enough to cruise the Mediterrannean and train it around Italy?' to the stage mid-month when it became totally out of the question and the government has banned overseas travel. What do you have to calm you when times are tough?
For me, it is gardening and craft, mostly stamping cards and patchwork. When I don't feel like any of those things, I really have a problem!
CLASSES
For now any "in person" events are on hold, sadly. I have already stayed at home for 7 days, but 2 family members are still attending work. We are Face-timing calls to family to keep in touch and I try to ring someone else every day.
I did put together a Craft By Post pack which is available for sale, payment by Paypal. You receive all the pieces to make 3 cards, with envelopes for $25, just like an "in person" class.
All you need to supply is the adhesive of your choice, and a stamp for the sentiment. The other option includes the stamp set. Pay with Paypal. Read more here...

Even if this one isn't for you but you like the idea, let me know (even with a topic or stamp suggestion). Stampin' Up! do not permit us to stamp images for you, but we may diecut.

Family News
Fortunately I've had plenty of birthday cards to make. At the beginning of the month my eldest and his daughter had their birthdays, his is the 2nd and Alice is the 8th. I left cards and presents for them when we visited at the end of February, because they were going away camping at the long weekend. Weren't they lucky that they had the chance to do that then, since this Easter and school holidays they'll be fairly housebound. I was going to have the three children from this family for a couple of days of the school holidays, but my lungs aren't great, due to lifetime asthma, and my d-i-l is a nurse, exposed each shift potentially to Corona virus, so they are trying to sort something else out, so as not to endanger me. I miss seeing them all, but this is what we have to do in this situation.
In the middle of the month my youngest grandchild turned 2, and he simply had afternoon tea with his 4 grandparents, his brother and parents. He is beginning to speak in short sentences and with shorter hair looks like a little boy now, not a baby.
My daughter-in-law mentioned that he's gone crazy about anything with wheels, so I whipped up this card where the lions are riding in trucks. Mason tried to turn the wheels, but I hadn't set them up for that. Then he found he could take the lions out and was happy about that. Part of his present was a lion bathrobe.
I've made and posted a lot of other birthday cards too. There is a Facebook group called #imbringingbirthdaysback and I like sending cards to ladies with Australian addresses. I know how much I love to get a card, bought or handmade, so I hope it brings pleasure to others as well. I even have a stamp with that hashtag! Let me know your birthday (just the day & month) address, and I'll add it to my list.
