In The Flower Patch CTC#10

Hey there! It's Friday again, time for CASE-ing The Catty. This week we are looking at the section Artistic Expression in The Stampin' Up!® Catalogue. In the Australia/New Zealand catalogue that is pages 154-175.

I didn't go very far into the section before I decided to CASE page 155, featuring Flower Patch Stamp Set and Flower Fair Framelit Dies. I have only recently received them but the exciting part for me was that they were FREE! When I was at Convention in May, Shelli put up several challenges for Convention attendees and for each one fulfilled, you'd receive a free stamp set (any value). I earned mine for more than a 5% increase in sales for a 2 month period compared to the same months from the previous year, many thanks to my lovely customers.

I am having a small class next Monday, using these stamps and dies, so I have stamped a couple of samples, using different colour combinations and no doubt the ladies at my class will come up with some others of their own. If you can't think of good colour combinations, you can CASE the Catty for inspiration or turn to the Color Coach for more ideas.

I decided to get a bit more adventurous with this sample, using several shades of purple, Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz/Old Olive for the leaves.

I've featured the big blossoms here, but this is a big stamp set with nineteen individual stamps including the leaves and sentiments. Not all of them have a die to cut them out, but they are easy enough to 'fussy' cut.

Unfortunately, the catalogue page hasn't scanned very well. It looks a bit orange here, but I made the cards below using those colours. I really am enjoying using these stamps. Why don't you join us at CASE-ing The Catty, we'd love to see what you make.

Have a great weekend, Rachel
