Eclectic Blue

I love these shades of blue and grey, so soothing and restful. I'm still getting used to the new In Colors and its so much fun trying out different combinations. There is only a tiny glimpse of Lost Lagoon here, on the tag cut with a Project Life  Cards and Framelits Dies.

I mixed it up a little too, with two of my new stamp sets, Kinda Eclectic and just the spot from Work of Art, inked with the Whisper White Craft ink. I think this card is much nicer in 'real life' than it is looking in my photos, so if the light is better tomorrow, I will attempt to get a better shot.
I came home from Convention with the Eclectic Paper Piercing Pack, and I had the tool and mat already, so I've been adding a little paper piercing to my projects the last few weeks. There are so many different shapes in this pack but one of them is a banner (Hearts a Flutter) so I lengthened it to fit my greeting, and stretched the paper piercing too. It gives a little more interest.

I've ordered the new In color sequins (last year's Incolors) but I think it will take a week before my order gets here. The colours look lovely and I think they'll add a pretty shine, popped on the spots when my order arrives. It probably won't comply with the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts then!! There are some very nice cards on their page for you to admire.
Remember I said I'd have another try at taking a photo this morning? Well, I did, and it didn't seem any better. I have my photo set up packed away at the moment. I decided I couldn't wait for my sequins to arrive, and I coloured some rhinestones with blendabilities and popped them on. What do you think - better with or without?

It seems like a few people were inspired to use Kinda Eclectic for Freshly Made Sketches this week, with it used by two design team members. There will always be that problem when we have new stamp sets and get excited to use them.

I had my Catalogue Launch today, thanks to all those lovely ladies who came through my door today. I think we all had fun, I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Cheers
Rachel

  3. I think I prefer the card without the rhinestones, the simplicity and the colors tell the story. Great job pulling the colors together. Thanks for playing with the Pals this week.
