Sketch #13

To help inspire my crafting I'm following along with the Great American Stampin' Show as they use the sketches from the catalogue as inspiration. This week it is sketch #13 and as usual, you do not have to follow strictly to the same formula. Use the sketch to inspire, and don't forget to send the cards you create.

The sketch suggested torn paper to me, but I find it difficult to actually tear paper, so I pulled a retired die, Gorgeously Made, which includes a jagged edge die.

I've now realised that there was actually one more line I should have torn/cut. That's a shame, but the cards are made now and there's no going back. I used a banner too, mine is a lot larger than the sketch one. A stray leaf from my desk was tucked behind.

For both cards I've relied on the beautiful, patterned paper to be the hero. Its a really pretty DSP, Thoughtful Journey. These are the 'b' side images, the watercolour effect is lovely.

Sending Love is a cling stamp, without any dies, so quite a reasonably priced purchase. It wasn't at all difficult to fussy cut the mailbox and letters.

Instead of a banner, the sentiment has been heat embossed in that position on the card.

Brightly coloured envelopes are scattered all around.

I hope you are inspired by my interpretation of this sketch. Remember to check all the card sketches on page 22 of the annual catalogue.
