Contributors to this blog hop are all members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart group. We love chatting, crafting and getting together in person. This week we are focusing on Starry Sky, one of our retiring InColors. On my card, it has been supported by Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet, another two of the five. Ink pads and ink refills went on special yesterday, I wonder if there are any left?
Trusty Tools has paintbrushes in stamps and dies, so that was easy. I was able to stamp the Sweet Sorbet onto the handles, and paint onto the bristles.
The whole of the 'awesome' stamp was inked and stamped before trimming to the word I wanted, and all the letters of the alphabet were cut in Tahitian Tide with the Mini Alphabet die. Self-adhesive paper was added to the back of the card stock first which really helps when it comes to attaching letters.
Will you miss Starry Sky?

Rachel, this is an awesome job (pun intended!). Your use of the Latte Love coffee splatters is genius! Love this masculine card so much.
ReplyDeleteSo creative, Rachel - I love it! No, I will not miss this colour ... have barely used it. I really like how Starry Sky plays with these other bright colours, though. Your card is delightful.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card Rachel. I love the swipe of Starry Sky across the card with the Sweet Sorbet paint brush. Your combo of retiring In Colours is fun together. Love it. xxx
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Rachel, the paint swipe with a Starry Sky ink spot looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love the effect of the ink spot, brilliant idea! I’m pinning this one for later inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea to use the ink spot to make a trail of paint to go with the brushes and splashes of paint. These bright in colors go so well together.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card, Rachel. I love the paint splatters and the swipe of the brush across the card. This is a beauty for any handy man!
