Colour Creations Week 11 - Cajun Craze

The participants in Colour Creations are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators and members of Art With Heart. We love to Blog Hop sharing all the Stampin' Up! Colours. This is week eleven of this round of Colour Creations Blog Hop, and this week's colour is Cajun Craze.

Cajun Craze would not likely be a favourite colour for many people, but it does have an important role within the colour palette. How else could we colour terracotta plant pots?

Evening Evergreen and Crushed Curry were the two colours I chose to team up with Cajun Craze, along with Artistically Inked for the stamps.

The background has been stamped off, but provides an interesting watercolour impression to match the loose blooms. Stamping off gives variations in the intensity of colour.

Next you're heading to Andrea Sargent

If at any time you find a broken link, please head to the blog of this week’s host of the AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop, Cathy Proctor, and she will have the list of all participants.

  1. Rachel, I had to laugh re your comment about the terracotta pots because that is always my default (or a brick wall) with this colour, however Cajun Craze also looks wonderful on your water coloured floral card too, especially stamped off in the background.

  2. Lovely colour combination, Rachel, with that big bold bloom and smaller ones behind. The addition of the neutral tones of the ribbon & twine are fabulous.

  3. Lovely effect on your card using this stamp set and choice of ink colours Rachel. I love the softness result by stamping off in parts. Beautiful and soft card.

  4. Great card Rachel - the background almost looks like shaving foam technique - such a nice way to show off the different tones and strengths of Cajun Craze!

  7. You are actually right Rachel about needing Cajun Craze for terracotta pots in fact surprisingly no one used it for that. I do how however love the way you have used it and softened it by stamping off.

  8. You've made Cajun Craze look beautiful, Rachel! I love the background in "stamped off" strength. I also really like the composition of the flower and sentiment on the die-cut circle. Lovely card!
