The CASE-ing The Catty Crew are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Australia & New Zealand who take inspiration weekly from the catalogues. The catalogues are a fantastic resource and we love to inspire you to seek inspiration there too.
Annual Catalogue time can be bittersweet: - excitement for all the lovely new stamps, colours and embellishments and a sadness for those that have to retire to make way for the new additions. This time there are so many dies retiring that it may take some time adjusting. The fact that all circle punches have gone along with Stitched Shapes dies is leaving a huge void. Unfortunately, as this blog goes live, this great set of dies is no longer available in Australia. Do check out the Last Chance Products Sale though.
Even better that there are dies to cut them out, and you have the choice of making them removable or sticking them in place.
The images are quite easily coloured using your preferred method, and I chose Blends. Reluctantly, I haven't added a great deal in the way of embellishment to the card, as it can be a little risky when it is used for a young child, as this card will be. I did think some Holiday Rhinestones in navy would have added a little more interest.
With so many great dies retiring, I'm sure you have a project to share on CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge Facebook page, featuring a retiring die
Looks like it is time to hop to my friend Julia Quinn now, enjoy the remainder of your Easter break.

Your kangaroo card is so darling, perfect for a young child. The brightly coloured gifts are lovely. I'm a little worried now, as I've just sent off a card with a wobble spring to a 4 year old - hopefully it survives!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute roo card Rachel. Sad to see these guys didn't continue but will hopefully have a bit more fun with mine and our Aussie friends and relations. Love your colouring of this guy as well.
