CASE a card from page 36 CTC#293

The Design Crew at CASE-ing the Catty  like to share all the exciting design possibilities included in the pretty catalogue pictures, so you can create amazing cards of your own. CASE stands for 'copy and selectively edit' so you can be inspired by a colour combination, the way the elements are placed on a card, the number of embellishments etc.

I have CASE-d a few general aspects of the cards on page 36 this week beginning with using blue, the lovely bold Misty Moonlight. This colour has been the biggest selling colour this year for Stampin' Up! this year, so apparently it's not just me who likes it!

I also noticed that 4 of the 6 projects featured large sentiments in the centre of the card, so although mine doesn't have a label beneath it like those projects do, it has the general idea.

The chocolates have been placed in a similar fashion to the stars, and apart from that, I had planned on adding texture with a swoop of texture paste, until I discovered both my tubs had dried out!

This is also an example of me working smarter not harder. I needed a birthday card for my darling husband, I had very little spare time, and I also needed to CASE page 36 for the design team commitment.

Now, let's inspire you to CASE page 36 of the mini catalogue, and please share your project on our Facebook page.

Next up on the Crew is Siobhan, do check out what she has shared.

  4. Love the slimline size and all the very cool little details on this. It does not look at all like it was made in a short time and I'm sure the sentiment was much appreciated by your husband :)
