CASE Halloween CTC #289

At CASE-ing The Catty, we are CASE-ing Halloween. Halloween is in the Northern autumn, which means for the southern hemisphere it is spring. Please bear with me as I justify my project! LOL!

I ordered the Have A Hoot bundle, because I love cute owls, and there are some Christmas ones in there as well as Halloween. The thing that sealed the deal however was the set of dies which are part of the bundle. Three 'windows'  which also diecut tags are so versatile, and so I CASE-d the card on the left, page 62 of the mini catalogue.

Lately I've been playing with Under My Umbrella and the matching umbrella Punch, and it seemed to fit quite nicely, into those frames. After demonstrating how to set up the stamps to stamp and punch out in 2 easy steps I decided to video this process for my Facebook page, allowing me to put together this pair of cards.

We have been needing umbrellas again this week in Melbourne - typical spring weather, so it's nice if you can have a really bright one!

Don't you love the way the Artistry Blooms DSP make fabulous, flamboyant umbrellas when stamped direct onto the pattern paper?

The rain drops have been stamped in Versamark, and then clear embossing powder has been heated to make them 'wet' and glistening, just like the real thing.

This background paper is actually the other side of the piece the umbrellas use. Both sides so beautiful, its lucky you get 2 12" X 12" papers in each pack. Patterned paper, called DSP by Stampin' Up! is on special through October at 15% off, it's a great time to freshen up your selection. I think they'll still be listed at $20 in the directory at the end of my post, but will convert to $17 when you pop them in your shopping basket.

  3. Gorgeous cards, Rachel. Under My Umbrella works so well with the 3 frames. I haven't really noticed this die before, so will have to take another look. I wish there was a die for the flowers though.

  6. Your cards are so wonderful! I love the window die, and have been tempted to get the whole set, just for that die! The umbrellas look great, but my favourite part of the cards are the flowers that frame the top window. It's just so sweet and makes my heart happy.
