CTC#236 Love, Thanks & Support

Welcome back to another week of CASE-ing The Catty. The crew is made up of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all parts of Australia and New Zealand. You are at the blog of Rachel Palmieri, Independent Stampin' Up!® demonstrator. I run classes at my home studio in South Morang, Victoria, share Stampin' Up!® products and tools at parties for my customers, coach my lovely team and create cards and the occasional 3D project. This week we are CASE-ing love, thanks and support, an enormous section from pages 72 - 97.

There are so many great samples through these pages but my choice was prompted by a customer commision for some cards suitable for weddings/engagements. I turned to Page 77 for inspiration and was able to make two with Dandelion Wishes and another two with the Stitched Be Mine dies, such lovely heart dies.

I knew my customer didn't have particular people in mind, so I wasn't trying to match an invitation or anything, which is where CASE-ing the Catty is such a handy point of inspiration.

Using the ornate heart from the sample was a given, and I liked the slim banner for the sentiment, and couldn't resist putting my own spin on, by threading it through the heart. Another difference is the designer series paper instead of a washed background, it is so pretty that it seemed a good idea to use it, as it has retired.

This version has more of the layers under the heart, like the card I CASE-d from, and there are still a number of other variations I could make.

This sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes and is lovely for a wedding or engagement card, don't you think?

Michelle Strazds has another amazing project to share this week.

Join our challenge on Facebook, just let us know which card you've CASE-d and the page number. I look forward to seeing it.

  3. Just beauitful, Rachel. These would be perfect for a variety of lovey-dovey occasions :) I like your spin of slipping the sentiment banner through the heart. Little details like that can have such an impact.
