Waterfront Monotone

Playing with Waterfront stamp set and watercolour paper, I stamped the same card and gave it different treatments. Also, it was a limited palette I worked with for these sympathy cards.

For both the cards, watercolour paper is cut to size and sprayed on both sides, with water. The same stamps:- mountains, trees etc were used, but one scene was again sprayed with water which caused the ink to run quite dramatically.

Flourishing Phrases is a stamp set which has a number of appropriate sentiments, including these two expressing sympathy. There is also a verse for the inside of your bereavement card, and a couple for a wedding. It is currently available in the Annual catalogue on page 18 in wood mount or clear mount, and from June 1st (or sooner if the other styles run out) will be available in cling-mount. Cling mount is a red rubber stamp, with labels that help the stamp adhere very firmly to your block or Stamparatus plate.

So, I wonder - do you prefer the cleaner finish or the version which has run and smudged? You can buy your Stampin' Up! supplies from me if you are in Australia, and I would be very happy to support you on your crafting journey.
